Drug Treatment Statistics
RAND Texas Drug Treatment provides the number of admissions for drug treatment by substance for all public rehabilitation programs. These data are available by the zip code or county of the admittee.
New HIPPA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations state that the Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse cannot release the number of individuals admitted to substance abuse treatment at the zip code level if that number is less than 26 and less than 10 at the county level. An asterisk (*) will be returned if the data is suppressed. Also, data for the seven counties surrounding Dallas are limited due to the pilot NorthSTAR project.
The source for these data is the Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse.
